CMB Select is a high school baseball travel program run by Chris Merritt.

We are currently forming a new 15U team for the 2024 season and working to fill a couple spots on next year’s 17U squad.

We are looking for good baseball players who have the drive and commitment needed to take their game to the highest level. Our extensive offseason training program is designed to get our players ready to excel in high school by providing them elite instruction and experienced on-field coaching. Our summer tournament schedule against top competition will challenge our players to take their game to the next level.

CMB SELECT PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

CMB players’ fees INCLUDE 16-week offseason training programs for pitching, fielding and hitting. Unlike other programs, we don’t charge extra to get our players the reps and instruction they need to build confidence and improve. We also build flexibility into our offseason program so players in other sports don’t miss out on valuable practice time.

Our program goal is to take a group of good baseball players, all with a drive for self-improvement, and provide them with the instruction and repetitions needed to take the next step in their development. Because we do not run multiple teams at each level CMB players receive our COMPLETE attention and our coaching staff is fully invested in your development!

PITCHING

Our offseason pitching development program is run by BJ Sabol and is designed to both strengthen arms and maximize efficiency. Our players receive instructor led throwing sessions three times per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays). These throwing sessions include bullpens, long toss and live/live pitching.

HITTING

Our weekly hitting program during the offseason is designed to help build efficiency through instruction and repetition. These small group sessions use Rapsodo and video work to help us monitor the player’s progress. Players can also participate in Saturday live/live sessions to stay on top of their game.

FIELDING

Weekly fielding sessions for our players are position focused and challenge the players to maximize their skills and play their position with confidence and flash.

CATCHERS

Catchers receive a 12-week offseason camp and will also be able to refine their receiving skills during our live/live sessions.

COACHING STAFF

At CMB, the same coaches that train the players in the offseason, field manage the players in the summer. This greatly aids the transition of new skills into game play and allows our players to compete with confidence and without the fear of failure.

TOURNAMENT PLAY

Teams at each level will compete in five tournaments during the summer. At the 15U level we remain mostly local with the amount of travel gradually increasing as players move into the 16U and 17U levels.
